When my partner and I traveled from Korea to the U.S. , we decided to order our favorite peanut butter directly to our Airbnb, since it usually takes a long time and costs more for international shipping to Korea.
The package was shipped via USPS, and the tracking showed it had been “delivered,” but it was placed inside a locker that only the house ownerhad access to. When I asked our Airbnb host about it, they said they didn’t have the key or access to that locker. Unfortunately, even after I contacted USPS, they said they couldn’t retrieve it either.
Since we were leaving the U.S. soon, I thought it was a lost cause. But I reached out to Van Dorn just to ask if there was any way to check with USPS to get it back and deliver to Korea.
To my surprise, he was incredibly kind and proactive, he personally followed up with USPS, confirmed that the package couldn’t be retrieved, and issued a full refund right away. Not only that, he even gave me a discount code for my next order as a gesture of goodwill.
A few days later, when I ordered again from Korea, he processed and shipped my order right away. I received it so quickly, even across continents it truly showed how much this company cares about their customers.
